Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharring that is primary to the quality of life. Stewardship of Treasure is a component of being a disciple of Christ. To ensure Philanthropy and Stewardship of treasure merits the respect and trust of the general public and donors and prospective donors have full confidence in non-profit organizations and causes they support.
We declare donors to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and the Annual Catholic Appeal have these rights.
1. To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources and its capacity to use donations effectively for intended purposes.
2. To have the financial records of the organization undergo an annual external financial audit.
3. To be assured gifts are used for the puposes they are given.
4. To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition
5. To be assured information about their donation is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
6. To expect all relationships with individuals representing the organization is professional in nature.
7. Feel free to ask questions when making a donation and receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
