Stewardship is a way of life for Catholics. “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Pt 4:10). What was true in the early church is still true today. All the baptized are called to grow in their conversion to Christian stewardship. As Christian stewards we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.
Each year parishes are encouraged to raise the awareness of their community about practicing stewardship of Time, Talent and Treasure.
In November the stewardship focus is on Treasure. Brochures and intention cards are available for parishes to order from the Office of Development.
In August (or in some parishes, in Eastertime) the stewardship focus is on Time and Talent. A customizable e-brochure is available from the Office of Development.
