As Catholic Stewards, it is expected to give more than receive. As one of Jesus' disciples we need to focus all our attention on him and look to where he wants to guide us in our lives especially when it comes to time, talent and treasure. One thing we do as humans is seek man for approval when we should seek only God's approval. We remember all of the gifts he blessed us with and must share them with others. Through time, we remember how God pulled us through the good and most difficult issues in our lives. When you know about the blessings he gave you, the struggles in the storm brought you closer to him.
We must glorify him by becoming stewards in life and use our talent wisely. Time is a non rewewable gift and what we do with it we give it back to God and the time we spend towards others it will be given back to us. "What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me?" Psalm 116:12.
With God all things are possible, but nothing can make this possible without our faith in him. We must always express our gratitude. We need to glorify him through our actions and how we treat others. We each have our own special gifts, we are listeners, talkers, caregivers, comforters and nurses reaching out to others hurting. We are to be doers of the word, "There are different kinds of gifts but the same spirit. There are different forms of service but the same Lord." 1 Corinthians 12:4.
We know God blessed us with efforts and how we treat one another. All glory goes to him, and our treasure not only lies in what we we do it is how it is done. Giving freely and not expecting anything in return. The world is a place where we exemplify Christ, reaching out and show others and treasures in what he expects from us.
